LA GUERRE FROIDE
(1974-1986)

Cet article étudie le rôle de la France, l’Allemagne, l’URSS et les pays de l’Europe de l’Est pendant la transition vers la démocratie en Espagne (1976-1986).
La réalité espagnole fut influencée par des tensions et craintes typiques de la Guerre Froide et le rôle des États-Unis, d’où l’intérêt de resituer le processus dans son cadre international.
Les dynamiques structurantes de l’extérieur favorisèrent la modération face au radicalisme politique et amenèrent, en somme, une transition et pas une révolution.
This article analyses the role of France, Germany, the USSR and Eastern Europe countries during the Spanish transition to democracy (1976-1986).
Spanish reality was indeed influenced by tensions and fears typical of the Cold War and the role of the United States; hence the interest in process to put this process in the international context.
The structural dynamics in international relations promoted moderation against political radicalism, which brought ultimately, a transition and not a revolution.
